     You meet a better class of people in the dark sometimes. During the day, when all the world is harsh, inescapable light, all you see are the dark stains of people’s souls. You can’t confront them for the pain the light’s truth reveals burns. At night, though, when the moon softens life’s roughness, you can look at people directly. The burning ceases and you can see that most people aren’t all sharp angles and painful edges. People are different in the dark because at heart they fear it. The dark brings the unknown and to survive it we have to band together. We have to be better people at night to make it through to dawn.
