1. What could serve as physical evidence that you sometimes lose focus?
Probably the half-dozen manuscripts I have started and not finished. I try to rotate between them to keep ideas fresh and flowing, but it never seems to work out the way I want it to.
2. What could serve as physical evidence that you are loved?
There are zillions of ways I could answer this, but I’ll say that when I wake up with my husband’s arms around me, even after 12 years of marriage.
3. What could serve as physical evidence that you are from wherever you are from?
My accent and the kinds of food I eat (both are southern). The look on the cashier’s face at our local (western MA) farmer’s market when I was extolling the virtues of a cucumber and cream cheese sandwich was priceless and pretty much told me she’d never had one.
4. What could serve as physical evidence that you went anywhere this week?
The receipts from the gas station.
5. What could serve as physical evidence that you caved in to temptation?
Either the soda bottle in the recycling or the candy bar wrapper in the trash – they’re both things I try not to indulge in too much.
