Favorite poem of the week/month/whatever by Emily Dickinson

As of right now, this poem has supplanted The Road Not Taken as my favorite poem. Robert Frost will always be my favorite poet, but since I live not too far from Miss Dickinson’s Amherst, and because I’m determined to keep the post office in business by myself, this is my favorite poem du jour:

This is my letter to the world

That never wrote to me

The simple news that Nature told

With tender majesty.

Her message is committed

To hands I cannot see

For love of her sweet countrymen

Judge tenderly of me.
