I’ve been trying to do a little writing everyday and I’ve been working off prompts I’ve found on the web and in books I have. Yesterday’s prompt was to write about a bizarre holiday – I Googled that and found out that yesterday was National Battery Day. So with that strange celebration in mind, I wrote this. Consider yourself warned.
Oh hail to thee,
Great battery!
To modern life
You are the key.
You save our homes
And start our cars;
You make our cellphones
Have more bars.
You help us hear
And tell the time,
You keep us well
And in our prime.
Oh hail to thee,
Great battery!
To modern life
You are the key.
(Hey I didn’t say it was a good poem did I?)
I felt “Energized” by your cute poem, Jen. Thanks.
I should be embarassed about it considering it’s the first poem I’ve written in years but it was fun. Thanks for stopping by!
That’s the best poem I’ve read today, keep it up!
Thanks:) Every once in a while a blind squirrel finds a nut, though in this case I think my poor critter is starving.
