Lake Wyola, Summer 2015

Bokeh refers to the artistic quality of the blur in the out of focus parts of a photograph. In this photograph, I didn’t realize how I framed the shoreline until after I edited it, but I think the blur in the foreground softens the picture. The summer glare could have made the picture a bit harsh, especially reflecting off the water, but I think the bokeh helped to counter that.
