D is for Draw

A draw play isnt exactly a trick play, but it’s designed to make the defense think the offense is setting up for a pass play. The offensive line moves like they’re protecting the quarterback, who drops back before handing the ball off to a running back or running with the ball himself.  Watching a quarterback run with the ball always makes me nervous because of the risk of injuries, but a well executed draw play can gain substantial yardage for your team. I just watch through my fingers until I see the quarterback get up and return to the huddle.
