Red Handed March 2016

Poor thing looks scared to death, don’t you think?  I in no way planned this image- instead, I was returning to my office after walking the community college campus with my camera on my lunch break. I heard a rustling in the bushes and turned to find this guy (girl? how would you tell anyway?)  making a mad dash for the parking lot.  I swung my camera around without really aiming and just held the shutter button down;  if it hadn’t panicked, I probably wouldn’t have gotten such a great image, but sometimes all the skill and experience in the world is no replacement for a quick trigger finger and a bit of serendipity.
