52 Weeks of Gratitude – Things You Love About Summer

What’s not to love about summer? Maybe it’s because I’m a Leo and the fire sign in me hates winter, but there really isn’t anything I don’t love about the summer months.  My favorite day of the year is the summer solstice because it’s the longest day of the year and July is my favorite month because it’s basically in the middle of the year and is the month of patriotism, long days, warmth and freedom. This sounds pretty vague, doesn’t it? Here’s a list of what I’m most thankful for about summer:

  • downtime with my husband
  • long days
  • warm weather
  • humidity (it helps my dry skin!)
  • barefoot/sandal season
  • iced tea
  • road trips
  • farm stands/fresh produce (specifically strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes and peaches!)
  • thunderstorms
  • fewer people in the office due to vacations
  • taking long walks after work (kind of a correlation to long days I suppose)
  • sitting out by the pool
  • watching all the critters at my feeders
